Quality of education without borders: first graduate from the Republic of Maldives in “Obstetrics and Gynecology”

Gomel State Medical University continues to successfully train specialists for foreign countries. Another testament to the high quality of education and professional training was the awarding of graduation documents to Asiya Naeem, the first graduate from the Republic of Maldives to complete a clinical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Professional training certificates, along with a commemorative book dedicated to the university's 35th anniversary were personally presented to the young specialist, an obstetrician-gynecologist, by the Rector Irina V. Nazarenko. The Rector of the University congratulated Asiya on her brilliant completion of studies, inquired about training experience, and expressed wishes for a successful career in her home country. Furthermore, she emphasized that the university takes great pride in its international graduates, who serve as ambassadors for the excellence and traditions of the Belarusian medical school abroad.

— We are pleased that our graduates are in demand all over the world. I am confident that the knowledge acquired within the walls of our university will help Asiya Naeem become an outstanding obstetrician-gynecologist in her home country, – the Rector noted in her speech.

Asiya Naeem extended her sincere gratitude to the University administration and teaching staff of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with the Course of Advanced Training and Retraining for the knowledge acquired and the support provided.

This event marked a significant milestone for the University: Asiya Naeem joined the ranks of our graduates, becoming the fourth resident from the Republic of Maldives to obtain a diploma of our institution.

At present, 28 clinical residents from the Republic of Maldives are pursuing their studies at the University. This steady growth underscores the high prestige and international standing of Gomel State Medical University as a leading center for quality medical education within the Republic of Maldives.
