Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining

According to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, establishing date of the faculty is January 3, 2017. However, the first group of students began classes in September 2016 and became certified general practitioners by the end of the year.

Classes are conducted by highly qualified teachers with extensive practical experience in their field, and teaching experience. Practical part of the course is conducted at specialized institutions, as well as in practical training laboratory, which is equipped with modern, realistic robotic patient simulators capable of displaying vital signs on a monitor. For practical experience, the laboratory has medical simulators and phantoms simulating various body parts and organs. This allows for the development of practical skills without risk of harm to the patient.

Students have access to a modern medical library and a large collection of electronic resources. The opening of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining at Gomel State Medical University helps to address the need for additional training for young specialists in the Gomel region.
