Department of obstetrics and Gynecology with the course of Advanced Training and Retraining

In 1991, the Department of Maternal and Child Health was established (later the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology). 

From 1991 to 2002, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Daniil Vsevolodovich Vvedensky, headed the department.

Scientific research has been devoted to establishing the effects of radiation exposure on a woman's body. During this period, 6 PhD theses were defended at the department.

From 2002 to 2011, the head of the department was appointed Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Elena Igorevna Baranovskaya.

The main scientific direction of the department's work was the study of the effects of the infectious factor on the reproductive health of women. The staff of the department defended 6 PhD theses.

Since 2012, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Tatiana Nikolaevna Zakharenkova, has headed the department.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology trains students of the 4th, 5th and 6th courses of three faculties.

The main clinical bases of the department are: Gomel City Clinical Hospital № 2, Gomel Regional Clinical Hospital Healthcare Institution, Gomel City Clinical Hospital №3.
