Student Scientific Society

Research is an integral part of the lives of students at Gomel State Medical University as evidenced by their active participation in numerous student research clubs at their alma mater their successful presentations at various conferences both national and international and their publications in medical journals and collections. Students at Gomel State Medical University actively collaborate with other universities both within Belarus and abroad.

All of this is due to the solid foundation and clear coordination of activities in the area of ​​student research at the university which is an integral part of the long-standing work of the university's Student Scientific Society.

Today, the Student Scientific Society of Gomel State Medical University (SSS) is an association of students engaged in scientific research with its own charter organizational structure and a broad team of individuals coordinating the work of this body.

General and scientific management of the Student Scientific Society of Gomel State Medical University is carried out by –

The main goal of the Student Scientific Society is to attract talented young people to the field of science create conditions for students to engage in scientific research and improve their skills in independent research.

To stimulate the work of departments in organizing student research to support the University's efforts to improve the quality of training for specialists with higher education and to further develop the integration of science and education.


The main goals and objectives of the student association of the Gomel State Medical University are:

1. Planning and organizing student research activities at the university;


2. Conducting scientific events at the university such as conferences, seminars and congresses;


3. Coordinating the work of permanent student research clubs;


4. Informing students about research plans at the university and other universities;
   


5. Involving students in research projects;


6. Providing organizational and informational support for scientific events held by departments and other research units at the university;


7. Providing scientific and organizational support to students in preparing research papers for participation in national, interuniversity and international conferences;

One of the most important annual events for university students passionate about research is the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists with International Participation, "Problems and Prospects for the Development of Modern Medicine."

Participation in the conference provides students with the opportunity to present the results of their research to an audience and enhance their professional knowledge in their chosen field.

These outstanding achievements demonstrate the high-quality medical education the high potential and opportunities for student research and the effectiveness and significance of the Student Scientific Society at the university.
