A spring gift for patients and doctors

In anticipation of International Women's Day, March 5, a celebratory event was held at Central Polyclinic. It was organized by Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with the course of Advanced Training and Retraining, and subordinators in obstetrics and gynecology, together with the staff of the women's clinic at Gomel Central Polyclinic. Students of the Faculty of International Students (group И-510a) took part in the event as well.

Future medical professionals decided to share their warmth and attention with women who are mothers of many children. Patients and medical staff were given small useful and enjoyable souvenirs.

“It is very nice that not only doctors, but also students took care of us this day. Such a small thing, and the mood goes up immediately”, – one of the patient shared her impressions.

Additionally, as part of the campaign, the subordinators distributed information leaflets, conducted training on breast self-examination, and conducted surveys on current issues in women's reproductive health.

For the students themselves, this was not only an opportunity to demonstrate compassion but also a valuable experience of interaction with patients. Participation in the campaign allowed to bring joy to people and remind that caring is the most important quality of a future healthcare professional.
