Rules must be known and followed!

A discussion on the rules of stay in the Republic of Belarus and measures to control foreign citizens residing in our country took place in Dormitory № 1. The event was attended by Denis N. Romanchuk, Deputy Head of the Directorate of Citizenship and Migration of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, and Alesya S. Laz, Inspector of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of Department of Internal Affairs of the Sovetsky District Administration of Gomel.






The meeting was continued by Igor A. Bobrik, a representative of Gomel Border Guard Group, who emphasized the fact that Gomel District is a border territory, on which the conduct of foreign citizens and their compliance with the law is subject to special control.

Aleksandr V. Pavlyukov, Lieutenant of the Department of Drug Enforcement and Anti-Human Trafficking of Criminal Police of Department of Internal Affairs of the Sovetsky District Administration of Gomel, warned students against attempts to earn “easy” money through criminal means. He reminded students of the responsibility for crimes related to distribution, production, and use of drugs. 











In conclusion of the meeting, Katsiaryna N. Shcharbakova, Dean of the Faculty of International Students, and Elena V. Rankovich, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, reminded the students once again of the mandatory observance of the dormitory's internal regulations, while educational psychologist Svetlana A. Zadorozhnyuk distributed informational materials on the prevention of suicidal behavior.
