Get on the ski track

Last week was filled with skiing competitions. Staff and students from Gomel Medical University actively participated in the events. On January 20, representatives of the Department of Physical Education and Sports took fourth place in the ski race among healthcare and education workers of the Gomel Region.

The Gomel State Medical University team took part in the regional sports festival "Gomel Ski Track-2026" and the winter festival of the Central District "Ski Marathon-2026".

Vipun Thenura, a Sri Lankan student from the Faculty of International Students at Gomel State Medical University, performed admirably at the winter competition. His will to win and good athletic form even earned him a spot on the podium.
