According to the results of the international ranking of universities "IAAR Eurasian University Ranking (IAAR EUR) 2023", conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating" (Republic of Kazakhstan), Gomel State Medical University improved its position and took 15th place among 24 universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.

Сусветны рэйтынг універсітэтаў Times Higher Education – адзіная глабальная табліца эфектыўнасці, якая ацэньвае даследчыя ўніверсітэты па ўсіх іх асноўных задачах: выкладанні, даследаваннях, перадачы ведаў і міжнародным светапоглядзе.
У 2023 годзе Гомельскі дзяржаўны медыцынскі ўніверсітэт другі раз прымаў удзел у міжнародным рэйтынгу THE Impact Rankings, які 1 чэрвеня 2023 года абвясціў свае вынікі.
Рэйтынг THE Impact Rankings ад брытанскага выдання Times Higher Education упершыню стартаваў у 2019 годзе. Рэйтынг прысвечаны ацэнцы ўплыву ВНУ на працэс рэалізацыі мэт устойлівага развіцця (ЦУР), сфармуляваных Арганізацыяй Аб'яднаных Нацый на перыяд да 2030 года, і з'яўляецца адным з лідэраў у галіне ацэнкі якасці дзейнасці універсітэтаў.
Для ўдзелу ў рэйтынгу THE Impact Rankings мяркуецца, што ўніверсітэт удзельнічае ў дасягненні як мінімум чатырох ЦУР, у тым ліку ЦУР №17 "Партнёрства ў інтарэсах устойлівага развіцця".
Ад Рэспублікі Беларусь удзел у дадзеным рэйтынгу прынялі 4 універсітэты, сярод якіх ГомДМУ па сукупнасці балаў размясціўся на 3 месцы (мал.1).
Па выніках ранжыравання ЦУР №3 "Добрае здароўе і дабрабыт", якая ацэньвае якасць адукацыйных і кансультацыйных паслуг у галіне аховы здароўя, універсітэт заняў лідзіруючае месца сярод 3 універсітэтаў Рэспублікі Беларусь, якія прадставілі дадзеныя па гэтым напрамку дзейнасці (мал.2).
Сярод 1218 універсітэтаў свету, якія ўдзельнічаюць у ранжыраванні ЦУР №3, ГомДМУ уваходзіць у чацвёртую сотню (301-400).
Таксама ўніверсітэты давалі дадзеныя па іншых ЦУР. Сярод іх такія, як ЦУР №4 "Якасная адукацыя" (ГомДМУ - 1000+), ЦУР №8 "Дастойная праца і эканамічны рост" (ГомДМУ - 601-800), ЦУР №17 "Партнёрства ў інтарэсах устойлівага развіцця" (ГомДМУ - і1).

Round University Ranking (RUR) is an international system of world university rankings that evaluates activities of 1 100 leading world universities from 82 countries according to 20 unique indicators and 4 key areas of university activity: teaching, research, international diversity, financial sustainability.
The ranking has been published since 2010. Data is collected through the Global Institutional Profiles Project (GIPP) system and the scientometric database The Lens.
In 2025, 8 universities from the Republic of Belarus took part in the ranking. Gomel State Medical University took 3rd place, scoring a total of 30 037 points.
