Five National Councils of Foreign Students have been established at Gomel State Medical University: Turkmenistan, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, countries of Africa and Asia.
The main areas of the National Councils of Students are: educational and legal, housing and everyday life, cultural and mass, and sports and health.
1. Interaction between the university administration, the Faculty of International Students, and foreign students on issues of their education at the university;
2. Assistance to foreign students of the university in adapting to the socio-cultural life and study in the Republic of Belarus;
3. Information and advisory support for foreign students;
4. Development of mechanisms for mutual assistance and cooperation among foreign students;
5. Organization and holding of cultural, educational, scientific, sports, and other events at the university and beyond;
6. Participation in competitions, conferences, concerts, and seminars held by the university.
