Rules for admission of foreign citizens to the postgraduate program

Mode of study: full-time

Period of study: up to 3 years

Application deadline: August 1st to September 30th

Training is conducted in the Russian language.

Foreign citizens applying to the postgraduate program must have a Master's degree.

Foreign citizens are admitted to the postgraduate program on a fee-paying basis without taking an entrance exam in a specific subject. However, an applicant's aptitude for research, as well as the level of proficiency in the language of instruction sufficient to master the postgraduate program's content, are determined by an interview held by the relevant department.

IMPORTANT! Applicants to postgraduate program must have passed candidate exams and credits in general education subjects: philosophy and methodology of science, foreign language, and fundamentals of information technology.

The training process is based on the postgraduate student's individual work plan.

Upon successful completion of the postgraduate program (as determined by the certification committee during the final assessment) the applicant is awarded the qualification of "Researcher" and a diploma of a standard form.

THE POSTGRADUATE STUDENT IS TO:

master the content of the educational program of scientifically oriented education, carry out scientific research in accordance with the approved dissertation topic and individual work plan, publish the results in scientific publications included in the list of scientific publications of the Republic of Belarus for the publication of the results of dissertation research, approved by the Higher Attestation Commission and (or) in foreign scientific publications (at least three publications);

submit a written report on the results of the implementation of the individual work plan within the established timeframe;

undergo the procedure of intermediate and final certification in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus;

submit the dissertation for preliminary examination during the course of studies.

DOCUMENTS:

Application addressed to the head of the educational institution;

Curriculum Vitae;

Notarized copies of higher education diplomas (Master's and Bachelor's degrees) (without translation if the diplomas are in Russian);

Notarized copies of diploma supplements (without translation if the supplements are in Russian);

Certificate of recognition of an educational document (Master's degree) issued to an individual in a foreign country, and its equivalence (correspondence) to an educational document of the Republic of Belarus;

Certificate of completion of candidate tests (differentiated tests) and candidate examinations in general education subjects (if exams have been passed);

Copy of a certificate of completion of the Russian language courses;

List and copies of published scientific papers; if no, a research abstract on the chosen specialty;

Copies of materials and/or abstracts of reports from scientific and practical conferences, congresses, symposia, and other similar events (if any);

Three 4 x 6 cm photos;

A notarized copy of the passport, with a translation into the Russian language;

A report from the medical advisory commission issued by the territorial healthcare organization of the Republic of Belarus;

A medical report on the applicant's health and a certificate of absence of HIV infection (issued by the official health authority of the country from which the postgraduate applicant is arriving).

Documents executed in a foreign language must be accompanied by their translation into Belarusian or Russian certified by a notary.

Foreign citizens, holders of foreign diplomas of higher education, (Master's degree) must confirm the equivalence (conformity) of their foreign documents to Belarusian diplomas of higher education in the manner established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

To obtain a certificate of recognition of an educational document (Master's degree) it is necessary to submit the following documents to the Document Recognition Center of the National Institute for Higher Education:

Application;

Passport or other identification document;

A notarized and duly legalized copy of the submitted diploma;

A notarized and duly legalized copy of the transcript (extract from the academic transcript);

A notarized translation of the transcript (extract from the academic transcript) into one of the official languages of the Republic of Belarus;

Four 3x4 cm photos;

A document confirming payment of the administrative fee.

The maximum period for issuing a certificate of recognition of an educational document is 1 month from the date of application.
