World AIDS Day: Red Ribbon Campaign at the Biology Department

The Biology Department held a "Red Ribbon" campaign and a quiz on HIV/AIDS to mark World AIDS Day. Faculty members highlighted key HIV/AIDS issues, questions and prevention measures for first-year students and students of the Pre-University Training Faculty.

Every year on December 1 the world celebrates World AIDS Day – a major global health event designed to raise awareness of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It's not only a day of education but also a wonderful opportunity to show solidarity with the millions of people whose lives have been directly or indirectly impacted by the virus.

In 2025 World AIDS Day will be celebrated under the theme “Overcoming challenges transforming the AIDS response.”
